From today, your village shop is trying to help out a little with the rising cost of living. Look out for the fluorescent yellow price tags on produce on the central floor unit for some big savings on staple items.

A fund to help local residents struggling to cope.

Local cellist, Miriam Nohl, and colleagues play music from across Europe by composers such as Handel, Blow and Biber. Instruments such as the theorbo, which dates back as far as 1750, will be showcased at the event. Tickets from Humshaugh shop or Eventbrite.

A real treat in store for all you crime thriller thrill-seekers in the company of these professional actors as they give live literary readings from the work of that group of award-winning crime writers known, quite aptly, as the ‘Murder Squad’.
