Grants to groups and individuals in Humshaugh and the surrounding area
Humshaugh Community Ventures Limited (HCVL) is a company limited by guarantee which was set up to purchase and manage the village shop in Humshaugh. The company is run by a Board of Directors elected at the annual general meeting and the shop is staffed entirely by volunteers from the village. Because the shop is run on a voluntary basis, there is an annual profit with which HCVL aims to assist groups, organisations and individual residents of Humshaugh of any age to undertake projects that, in the opinion of the board, are deemed of benefit to the community or the individual. Grants can also be made to organisations outside the village that undertake projects which will benefit the Humshaugh community.
If you or your group wish to undertake a project which cannot be funded or can only be partially funded through official channels and fund-raising schemes, why not approach HCVL to see if they can help. Forms for group or individual applications for grants are available in the shop or can be downloaded here: individual or group.
If you are not sure whether you are eligible for a grant, have a word with one of the directors.
